Hotel Information & Reservations
The SEIFC Leadership Academy is held at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta. Please visit the website of the hotel to go over all policies and discounts associated with the conference. Reservations may also be made by contacting the Westin at 404-365-0065 or by visiting the SEIFC website www.seifc.org.
Breakfast will be offered on Friday and Saturday morning. The Affiliation Luncheon on Friday will be in business casual dress and served in Ballroom A. For the Closing Banquet on Saturday night, also in Ballroom A, the dress will be coat and tie. All other meals will be on your own and at your own discretion. We simply ask that you arrive back from your other meals early enough to be on time for the next session on the schedule. Please refrain from wearing hats during meals.
The SEIFC Leadership Academy is a professional conference, and appropriate behavior is expected at all times. As such, the requested attire for Friday and Saturday during educational sessions and the awards banquet will be business attire, which includes coat and tie. Attire on Thursday evening and during your free time off site will be casual. We ask that you not wear tattered clothing, baggy clothes, athletic wear, or hats during the sessions or meals.
It is expected that all attendees follow the expectations of their home institutions while at the Leadership Academy. Should your institution allow you to consume alcohol during the conference, the following expectations are in place. No alcohol should be brought to the hotel at any time. Should you to leave the hotel, please keep in mind that the legal drinking age in Georgia is 21. Be prepared to show proof of age when attempting to purchase alcohol. The city of Atlanta is very strict on fake IDs. Offenders should be prepared to spend the night in jail.
All sessions are to be attended on time and with your full presence there. Delegates and other conferences attendees are here to learn how to be better fraternity men and take information learned back their respective councils. Please use these sessions to better your knowledge and leadership skills.
